Was my halo treatment effective? (Photos)

Question

I had a Halo treatment yesterday on my whole face. Post treatment yesterday, and now today, my face is only a little red, but I'm not experiencing peeling, flaking or brown spots like others describe. While I'm glad that I'm not having drastic side effects, it is making me wonder if I wasn't provided with a deep enough treatment. I've read on here that deep treatments will have more downtime, so I'm worried that my Halo treatment wasn't aggressive enough to provide me with significant results.

Thank you for your question and the photos.  Everyone reacts and recovers differently from Halo treatments.  Just because you are not seeing much peeling or brown spots doesn't mean the treatment  didn't work. The result should be more evident in about a week after the treatment and will be a better indicator of how effective the treatment was. The nice thing about HALO is that you can always go back and retreat now that you know how your own skin reacts.  I hope you love your final outcome.

thanks for the pictures.  On day one patients have a wide spectrum of redness and swelling even after the same treatment.  You will start to see the browns spots today or tomorrow. To predict effect of the treatment, it would be great to know what settings were used and also what the major issue to be treated was.  Even light treatments produce great effects.

It's too early to see your response to the HALO treatment.  There are many different levels of HALO that will vary with who is doing the procedure (a physician will go deeper).  Give it time to fully heal to assess the results.  You can always retreat deeper if needed.

Every ones skin reacts differently and the second day is not where you can judge any results. Flaking and mends to be seen only after day 3 and actual results to be judged not before 4-6 weeks. Hang in there and you wills see results.

Everyone is going on about result, but the question is- what are your expectations and end goals? HALO is an excellent low downtime laser for mild sun damage, pores, and textural changes. It is a sub optimal laser for scars, elastosis, severe sun damage and should never be used to treat melasma.
