How much fat, percentage-wise, can I expect to lose from CoolSculpting? (photos)

A single CoolSculpting treatment will normally result in destruction of about 20-25% of the fat cells in the treated area.  With multiple treatment sessions, more fat can be destroyed.  You appear to be a good candidate for CoolSculpting, but liposuction is an alternative.  More fat can potentially be removed in a single liposuction procedure, compared with a single CoolSculpting session, but liposuction is invasive and requires a recovery period.

As you've learned, CoolSculpting will destroy about 20% to 30% of fat cells from a treated area. Most patients need two to three or even more treatment sessions to get the results they want. If you have two sessions, you can lose between 40% to 60% of your fat; at three sessions you'd be up to 60% to 75% of the fat.Both liposuction and CoolSculpting can eliminate stubborn muffin tops and give your abdomen a more sculpted shape. The advantage to CoolSculpting is that there is almost no downtime. Most people will have a few days of tenderness or swelling. It will take between three to six months after your final treatment before your full results can be appreciated. Be sure to consult a board-certified dermatologist who is a certified CoolSculpting practitioner to have your muffin top removed for good.

Coolsculpting is good for stubborn areas of fat, but lacks body contouring and shaping.  WE often combine with vanquish as a "fire and ice" treatment for better results. However for best contouring, I recommend a hi definition procedure like VASER liposuction. I use VASER HI DEF with ThermRF and fat grafting to get the most fat removal, skin tightening, contour and definition. This combination will give you the most toned and athletic-looking result. Hi deandavis.  Thanks for sharing pics.  The best way to know if you are a candidate for CS is to have the applicator templates placed on the different areas during your consultation.  It is estimated that 20% of fat reduction occurs with each applicator, and yes, if you did a second treatment 3 months later, another 20% is theoretically feasible.  Your CS specialist will assess how much fat thickness (vs. fibrous tissue) there is to guide you on the number of treatments. New applicators only require 35 minutes per area, and an office with multiple machines can treat even faster. Liposuction will be able to remove more fat in a single session in any given area and multiple areas can be addressed sometimes faster than CS.  Choosing between the two depends upon your preference/aversion to anesthesia, time frame for results, etc.

Your muffin top is just the kind of stubborn area of fat that CoolSculpting is designed to treat. Based on your photos, you would be a good candidate, because you are already fit and just need help contouring your abdomen. CoolSculpting removes about 20% of fat with each treatment, which is why most people opt for two or three treatments. Three sessions of CoolSculpting is about equivalent to one session of liposuction, but without the longer recovery time.
