The most common reason for Venus Viva treatments is skin resurfacing. We use the nano fractional ablative RF to help smooth out wrinkles and skin texture. For most patients, 3-5 treatments are necessary. Best, Dr. KaramanoukianRealself100 Surgeon
For optimal results, most patients need 6–8 treatments. Usually, treatments happen four weeks apart. You can personalize your treatment plan to meet your needs and goals.
The Venus Viva protocol requires a series of treatments, and we recommend to start with a series of 3 treatments. We typically treat patients 4-6 weeks apart. We use Viva to treat dyschromia, textural irregularities of the skin, large pores, fine lines, rosacea, acne and acne scars. Although the main therapeutic effect of Viva remains in skin resurfacing, it also has some anti-aging benefits with skin tightening and increase in collagen formation to reduce fine lines and wrinkles. We normally combine Viva with another handpiece available on the same machine, the Diamond Polar, to achieve better anti-aging results.
The Venus Viva procedure requires a series of treatments in order to maximize your results; however, the number of sessions and exact time between each treatment will depend on the individual patient and the condition being treated. Typically we initially recommend 3-4 sessions, which are usually spaced every 4-6 weeks, although that can certainly change as your skin reacts to the restorative procedure. If you are interested in the Venus Legacy, which is mainly for skin tightening, we generally recommend 6-8 sessions given at two week intervals. After this initial treatment protocol, we advise a maintenance program of 2-4 sessions per year to preserve your results. As in all cosmetic procedures, it is very important that you meet with your physician to evaluate the area and establish a personalized treatment plan – it is possible that you may need a few more or less sessions to achieve your desired results.
Typically a Venus Viva treatment is less invasive and can take up to 3 or 4 to see the results you desire. I recommend a face-to-face consultation with a board certified dermatologist to go over whether or not you need multiple treatments.Thank you for your picture!Kate Ross, MD
This treatment generally requires anywhere from 3-6 treatments depending on the severity of the concerns. Venus VIVA reduces signs of aging, evens out textural irregularities, minimizes the look of large pores and helps tighten and smooth skin. VIVA may also help reduce some superficial acne scarring. These sessions should be done 4-6 weeks apart and can receive individual maintenance sessions as needed. We always recommend a professional consultation to determine the best treatment plan for you.
This is a treatment that requires a series of treatments. We package them in series of 3, as this is how we did it in the FDA trials. The actual Venus Viva site does say that it can take even 6-10 treatments for maximum results. But yes, because it is less ablative and has less downtime, it will take more treatments to get your results. Topical lidocaine cream works well for patients prior to Venus Viva treatment in our center. Overall, Venus Viva is well tolerated. Best, Dr. KaramanoukianRealself100 Surgeon
Our office employs Venus Viva as a nano fractional ablative and non-ablative RF treatment that has less downtime than traditional laser resurfacing. The Venus Viva can be titrated up or down to increase efficacy and thus have more downtime. It is recommended that you apply a ceramics cream such ...
Venus Viva can improve skin wrinkles and surface texture. In my Los Angeles practice, I combine Venus Viva with Ultherapy or Exilis to rejuvenate the skin and underlying fascia. Best, Dr. KaramanoukianRealself100 Surgeon
All laser and RF treatments have a finite risk of HSV flare up. I would suggest calling the physician who performed the treatment to see if you need Acyclovir or whether this is merely a follculitis that must be addressed. Best, Dr. KaramanoukianRealself100 Surgeon
Most chemical peels remove the top layers of skin through exfoliation. Although this may initially thin the skin, the goal is to stimulate new skin with denser collagen to form. Deep chemical peels and lasers tend to give you more collagen-rich skin that is healthier and more youthful. The...
