In my practice, we apply numbing cream to the area to betreated for 45 minutes prior to a Venus Viva treatment, and have found that patients havedone really well. We do offer local anesthetic injections if a patient is goingto have a more aggressive treatment. However, most patients do well with thetopical anesthetic/numbing cream alone.
Topical lidocaine cream works well for patients prior to Venus Viva treatment in our center. Overall, Venus Viva is well tolerated. Best, Dr. KaramanoukianRealself100 Surgeon
Thank you for your question. We often utilize top clients teacher for the Venus fever treatment. For patients who are undergoing a more aggressive treatment, we often supplement this with oral or IV sedation. We are also starting to use injectable numbing for more aggressive procedures to make the procedure more tolerable.
During the procedure, you can feel a warm, prickling feeling, but it's normally not uncomfortable. To guarantee optimal comfort, some patients choose to apply a topical numbing cream prior to the treatment. Before the procedure, talk to your provider about your pain management options if you're worried about how uncomfortable you might be.
The Venus Viva is an advanced, non-surgical, FDA cleared NanoFractional Radio Frequency device for skin resurfacing that does cause a bit of discomfort during treatment; however, we provide our patients with a topical numbing cream prior to the procedure to minimize any pain. It is possible to have local anesthetic injections for more aggressive treatments, although generally our patients do well with only the topical solution. Even though the Venus Viva involves inserting tiny pins into the skin surface to safely administer the treatment, I have found that it is more comfortable than laser and chemical peels, and the results are smoother, naturally healthy looking skin.
Venus Viva is a fractional device so there is a bit of discomfort with it, but it should not be terrible or unbearable. We provide patients with a topical numbing cream which they sit with for about 20 min before we do a treatment. No one has yet found it extremely painful or stopped because they couldn't manage.
