When can i go to the dentist? after having a chin implant, im 2 weeks post op?

Good question. Chin implants may be placed internally through the gums or externally with a skin incision under the chin. If you are getting a routine cleaning or basic dental work like fillings I would wait at least 4 weeks if placed externally and 6 weeks internally. Also wait longer if more than routine dental work is being performed. Speak to your dentist and surgeon for definitive answers as only they know what was done and is planned.

Always best to ask your operative surgeon. If you were my private pattern I would want at least a 2 month interval...
