Is this Benelli lift a good result? (photo)

Scars seem to be appropriate for this stage of healing, as it will take time for them to settle.  Based on your before pictures is does seem like the surgery was successful in moving you nipple/areola into a more favorable position.

Your healing is going okay so far. The pink color of the scars should fade over time and help overall look.The bebelli lift has its pluses and minuses. The plus is no scar out on the skin. The minus is minimal movement of scar and a tends to flatten the breast shape a bit. A regular lift has the skin scars but can control the breast shape and aerola size and position much more. More perky but more scar.

Thank you for the pictures. Your nipple position has improved. The pink scars will lighten with time.  The scars are wide but this was due to tension around the closure.  

Scars typically have their worst appearance around 3 months. It takes over a year for the scars to stop changing in appearance. Yours are still pink indicating that they have quite a ways to go before they are finished. The good news is that if they aren't elevated or thick, the final results are usually excellent. 

The result that you achieved is fairly typical for an aggressive Benelli mastopexy. Typically this type of peri-areolar breast lift is only done for minimal movement of the nipple-areola complex (NAC)--say a centimeter or a little more.  Trying to avoid making a vertical scar (lollipop incision) with an aggressive Benelli will often stretch the NAC some and flatten out the breast a little bit. Imagine trying to sew the outside edge of a large donut to the inside edge--1 circle is quite a bit bigger than the other.  That in effect will cause the NAC to stretch out.  This can be improved by converting to a vertical lift to maintain a smaller NAC with a more projected breast.  That being said, the result is quite appropriate and much improved from your preoperative photos. Rest assured that the scar will improve as they will continue to fade and mature for up to a year or more after surgery. It is normal to have a bright pink scar at this stage. You can certainly speak to your surgeon about options for scar care such as scar creams, massage, and laser treatments. Good luck!

In my over the internet opinion it is an acceptable though irregular result. I think you might have been better served with a full mastopexy (inverted T or anchor lift - but there will be scars). Only IN PERSON evaluations allow a determination. Since I am in Miami please call to see me or one of the other 80+ boarded PSs in South Florida for a second in person opinion. Only revision surgery will improve the scars and make a better circular areolae. To get more lift than a more lifting operation is needed. The operative surgeon is NOT mentioned???

Although the Benelli mastopexy is a little archaic with regard to circumareolar lifts, your result is pretty good. The lack of projection is typical of the Benelli technique and your areolar incision redness should resolve over time.
