Are V Beam and PDL lasers the same thing? Are they a good treatment for redness?

Question

I have mild Rosacea and I've been getting treatments for it. The derm has been giving what she calls "Pulse Dye Lasers". But on the bill after the treatment it is called "V Beam 595nm Face Full". Are these 2 things the same? And are they a good treatment for redness from mild Rosacea? How often should I get this treatment if it is? Thank you in advanced.

Our protocol for hyper-erythematous redness uses a combination of lasers and Nanofractional RF to help reduce localized and perfuse hypervascularity in the skin. We begin with an evaluation of the redness and evaluate the cause of the hypervascularity. Treatments with Limelight IPL, Vbeam Perfecta, and Nanofractional RF are then used to reduce the blood vessels and telangiectasia within the skin. The VBeam is a type of pulsed-dye laser. For rosacea, I like a combination approach, using lasers (ProYellow, Pulsed Dye/Vbeam, Excel V) and botox to the cheeks. This makes dramatic changes in color and symptoms. Please see an expert for a formal consultation. Best, Dr. Emer.

The Vbeam is a pulse dye laser which is good for redness/tint in the skin.  It works well for rosacea but may require multiple treatments and ongoing treatment as rosacea is a chronic skin condition

We have used IPL, Nd: YAG in the past and for the last 3 years have had tremendous results with the VBEAM laser. Our patients have been very happy with results showing after a short course of 4-6 treatments. Then an annual top up of 1-2 to catch any recurrences.

The Vbeam is a type of PDL or pulsed dye laser which uses intense yet gentle bursts of light to treat a variety of conditions, the main one being redness. Vbeam is the best laser available for the treatment of Rosacea and our patients have seen incredible success with the procedure. For mild Rosacea, I would say treatment once a month or once every couple of months would be sufficient to get your skin looking great., however the key is consistency. While the laser works and can provide dramatic results, it takes time and will require more than one treatment - be patient!
