hello thank you for your question and provided information as well.based on your question the ideal is that you are first evaluated by your endocrinologist to see if your blood sugar levels are stable, if he gives you the ok for surgery you can be evaluated by a certified plastic surgeon.
Thank you very much for the questions. Yes dear, you still are candidate for BBL, but before perform the surgery you need to be in good physical health and have endocrinologist evaluation. I recommend you to be treated by a board certified plastic surgeon.Respectfully,Dr. Emmanuel Mallol Cotes.-
Hello zobellax3,It’s a pleasure to answer your questions! Based on my experience performing buttock augmentation procedures, you are not automatically disqualified from getting a Brazilian Butt Lift surgery (BBL). However, before committing to a BBL surgery, patients should be in good physical and mental health. Preferably, they must be free of any active diseases that could make them unable to endure the BBL surgery recovery period. Medical conditions like diabetes increase the risk of complications (such as infections), if the diabetes is not controlled adequately. Request an in-person consultation with an experienced plastic surgeon to get an assessment on your candidacy for BBL surgery. During the first consultation, you will the opportunity to discuss your specific needs and cosmetic goals. Kind regards! Dr. De La Cruz.
The answer is YES you can still have a BBL as long as your PS is comfortable with everything. I do operate on patients with diabetes but have a strict cut off for the A1C to be below 7. Increase A1C is a sign that your sugars are not well controlled and this leads to increased risk of infection and problems with wound healing.
