Ripping sensation in the hips. How long will it take to go away? It's been 4 months.

I am assuming fat was transferred to the hips and this was not an area of liposuction. The ripping sensation could be scar tissue and you feel it tethering when you move around or you could have fat necrosis which can be painful and that pain is perceived as a ripping sensation to you. If your hips were liposuctioned, pain can be present for 6 months or longer as the tissue heals (actually takes 1 year to heal) and scar tissue remodels. It is important to have follow up with your PS to make sure all is healing okay.
