Answer: 8 days post BBL, my privates and eyes are very swollen, what can I do to reduce this? Good morning, Thanks for your question. It is completely normal to have your body swelling, but you should check your eyes though, it is not common for a patient to have eyes swollen for too many days. But everything else swollen in normal.

Answer: Swelling after BBL In my patients the swelling after Brazilian butt lift is significant and is much greater than liposuction alone. The person who has swelling prior to surgery, like swelling during the menstrual cycle gets more swelling after surgery. The swelling you're describing is dependent swelling. When you do a Brazilian butt lift you have to sleep on your stomach because your sleeping on your stomach your face gets swollen. The bottom half of your stomach in the groin is swollen because while you're walking during the day all the swelling from your entire body because of gravity causes a swelling independent areas. The swelling in your face and groin will start to go down when your overall swelling goes down. Always call your doctor make an appointment and going to get checked whenever you have a concern. But I don't think the areas you described are unusual I see this type of swelling in my patients.

Answer: Recovery after BBL It is not uncommon to be swollen after a BBL but signficant swelling especially of the entire body and areas unrelated to surgery may warrant a closer evaluation by your plastic surgeon. This can be par for the course if you were given a lot of fluids during surgery. Sometimes, after surgery, your body can also hold on to excess fluid. This fluid will naturally go away as the body eliminates it by producing urine. If you are not urinating that much and are very swollen this may be the case. Sometimes a medication to coax your body to produce more urine can be given. Deciding on this medication will have to be done by your plastic surgeon after he evaluates you and takes into account your overall health.Good luck with the remainder of your recovery.Dr. Remus Repta
