I live in the state of New Mexico, I'm 20 and my forehead is 8cm from the beginning of my eyebrows to my hairline. I want to reduce it by 2cm if possible, or 1.5 at least. (To the blue line in the pic)
Answer: You can lower your hairline with surgery but to understand how it may actually look or to understand realistic expectations... You can lower your hairline with surgery but to understand how it may actually look or to understand realistic expectations, you need to see a doctor in person and have this conversation. Forehead reduction surgery or hair grafting transplant can both lower your hairline. It would be in your interest to have a consultation with a doctor and understand your risks and benefits of each surgery. It would not be fair to suggest one or the other option without an examination or understanding your specific goals. There are issues of scarring, shock hair loss, hairline shape, and many other factors that must be understood. First, you need to meet with a doctor so you can explain your goals and expectations. Afterwards, you'll have a better idea as to how much your procedure may cost.

Answer: Hairline lowering cost Forehead reduction surgery costs will vary from one provider and location to another. In most cases, the total cost is going to be in the $6000 - $10000 range. The most important factor to consider is finding the right surgeon for you. I have many patients who travel to me from around the country for this procedure, and we make the travel and accommodations simple for out of town patients. The good news is that forehead reduction surgery has low risks and the recovery is usually very straightforward, so patients are able to travel back home soon if they come from far away. The alternative to forehead reduction surgery is hair transplantation, which can be a good option as well, but will usually require at least two stages to achieve maximum density. All the best,

Answer: Lowering the hairline There are two types of procedures for lowering a woman’s hairline. One, is a surgical excision of the upper forehead followed by the downward advancement of the hairline up to an inch from where it wasprior to the surgery. To accomplish this, the entire scalp from the frontal hairline to the very back of the crown, is lifted up and pulled forward. When this is done by an experienced surgeon, the hairline can often be advanced about 2/3rd – 1 inch if there is enough looseness when this lifting process is done. This procedure is often complete in one surgical session; however, it may not address receded corners of the hairline if the corner recession is significant. A great advantage of this surgical approach is theimmediate impact of the procedure on hairline location with healing usually complete in a week or so. Sometimes this procedure produces a scar in front of the hairline, and if this is this is the case, a hair transplant in front of the hairline can address the scar. If there is corner rounding that is not addressed by the surgical lowering, then hair transplants can address this very well. Hair transplants take 7-8 months to fully grow out.
