4 months post-rhinoplasty and was hit on tip of nose today. The rhinoplasty operation was minor -straightening of nasal bridge.

Definitely visit with your plastic surgeon who can examine you and assess if anything has happened with your nose.  Good luck.

Hey there. It sounds like you will be in good shape. In general, babies, car doors, and dogs are all enemies of people who have had nasal surgery. You really do have to be careful for about the first six weeks or so, depending on how much work was done. After that, generally enough healing has occurred so that you'll be able to withstand minor trauma without too much problem. Signs of a major problem would be: bleeding, new-onset nasal obstruction, or an obvious change in the nasal aesthetics. It's normal to have some soreness if your nose took a whack, but without swelling or any of the other things, I'm sure you'll be good to go. There is a good chance damage was inflicted.  See your surgeon as soon as possible for an in person exam, to confirm healing and damage.  Best wishes!
