Are they all essential same procedure? Which one is better for internal bra on breast lifts? A dermal wing bra made from Excess skin or Gala flex? I haven't seen a study on comparing the two. I know all opinions are subjective
Answer: Breast lift Dear DianaJ89, my preferred lift is a lollipop lift when a periareolar won't do (ie greater than 2cm lift required). The lollipop technique was created by a Canadian plastic surgeon named Elizabeth Hall-Findley and treats the breast as a three dimensional structure instead of two dimensions (anchor - lift). Most importantly it does not require the horizontal component scars that the anchor-lift requires and breasts appear much more natural, lifted, and less boxy. Lastly, the lift lasts longer because the lollipop doesn't rely on the skin to hold the breast up, its actually breast tissue thats being brought together to support the breast and hence improves longevity. Answer: Lift The lollipop or vertical lift is one type of lift that works very well for many women. The incisions are around the areola and down to the bra line. The auto augmentation is using one's on sagging breast tissue and sometimes an attached dermal graft from the excess skin to create all the volume. This is mainly done in women who have lost a lot of weight and have a lot of excess skin, especially lateral to the breast. The dermal sling is using your own tissue to support the breast tissue and the sling should stay. The mesh for support will gradually be replaced with scar tissue. Sometimes both are needed with very thin stretched out skin.

Answer: Bellesoma Method A dermal wing uses excess skin laterally and attaches to the 2nd rib to create upper pole fullness. The lollipop lift uses a circumareola incision and lifts the nipple-areola complex but not the center mass of the breast. Breast lift with auto augmentation is taking fat from somewhere else on the body and injecting it to the breasts at the time of breast lift. Unfortunately, you have not provided photographs or told us your goals. The technique I recommend is a breast lift using The Bellesoma Method. This will reshape your breast tissue creating upper pole fullness without implants, elevate them higher on the chest wall and more medial to increase your cleavage. Vertical scars are avoided, nipple sensation (in 95%) and the ability to breast feed are maintained. Later, fat transfers can be performed if additional volume is desired. Best Wishes, Gary Horndeski, M.D.

Answer: What is difference between dermal wing, lollipop & breast lift with auto augmentation? The terms "dermal wing," "lollipop," and "breast lift with auto-augmentation" refer to different types of breast lift techniques and procedures: 1. Dermal Wing Lift: o Description: This is a type of breast lift where excess skin is removed from the lower part of the breast to create a more lifted and youthful appearance. The "wing" refers to the skin that is removed, which can create a wing-like effect. o Best For: Patients with mild to moderate sagging who need some tightening without a full lift. 2. Lollipop Lift: o Description: Also known as a "vertical lift," this technique involves a vertical incision that runs from the areola to the breast crease, along with a horizontal incision around the areola. This "lollipop" shape allows for significant reshaping and lifting of the breast tissue. o Best For: Patients with moderate to significant sagging who need a more extensive lift and reshaping. 3. Breast Lift with Auto-Augmentation: o Description: This procedure combines a breast lift with the use of the patient's own breast tissue to add volume and enhance shape. During the lift, the breast tissue is repositioned to a higher location and may be used to create a fuller appearance without implants. o Best For: Patients who want a lift and additional volume without implants. It’s ideal for those with sufficient breast tissue who want to avoid foreign materials like implants. Each technique addresses different concerns and is chosen based on the patient's specific needs, goals, and anatomy. Consulting with a board-certified plastic surgeon can help determine the most suitable approach for achieving the desired results.
