I am currently 10 months postop, and after having complications with my BBL procedure in Miami, I lost 18 pounds in one month due to sepsis infection and loss of blood. I am needing to get correctional surgery, but everyone keeps denying to see me, I know surgeons doesn't like to go behind another surgeons, but please any suggestions would be helpful as my confidence has went all the way down. Prior to my BBL I did have a nice round plump butt, but I had hip dips and wanted them filled. Now I have fat sitting on both sides of my hip area that needs removing, but the area feels like hard chunks on the inside and lumpy. Thank you!
Answer: Post BBL complications You are in good company with many others who had high hopes for BBL but instead received disappointing results (lumpiness, unevenness, lack of projection in the central and/or lower buttock, post-deflation sagging, etc.) as most of the fat melts away. It is not always quite as much the quality of the doctor nor liposuction technique but rather the quality of the procedure that is a large part of the problem. Thus, going back for round 2 BBL most often produces the same disappointing results but at another financial loss. Buttock implants indeed provide a more reliable, predictable, relatively safe, and permanent result, especially for adding projection to the buttock and often smoothing out lumpiness. Occasionally a lower buttock tuck may be advantageous for lower buttock fold asymmetries and/or sagging. Please keep in mind that an extremely few number of board-certified plastic surgeons specialize in buttock implants so be sure to consult with one that is reputable and experienced. Unfortunately you may have to travel long and far away from home to find this particular surgeon. Glad to help.

Answer: Revision of BBL result In your case, revision of asymmetries should include combination of targeted liposuction and fat grafting; some deformities (banana roles) may require skin excision and fixation to recreate natural fold/crease. This should be done by an expert, board certified plastic surgeon, who has experience with this type of surgery. Good luck.

Answer: BBL results Dear Ice101, I understand your concern. However, without a proper assessment, it would be difficult to determine what went wrong. It is best that you visit your plastic surgeon for further assessment or ask for a second opinion. Only after a thorough examination, you can get proper recommendations and advice. Answer: Revision BBL I cannot say I know how you might feel. Surgical complications are unavoidable and Unfortunate. What you survived should give you reserve about having a revision procedure. The lower border of your buttocks would be improved with conservative liposuction. The lumps may be either injected with a steroid or excised (Surgically removed). Many surgeons may be resistant to placing more fat as there will be substantial scar tissues from your previous procedure and complication

Answer: What type of procedure do I need to fix botched BBL? Clumps and knots on each side. Please help Thanks for posting your photos. What chop shop clinic/doctor did you go to? I am one of the few boarded private practice Plastic Surgeons doing revision BBLs (using ultrasound guided injections & removal from the buttocks are required by the Florida board of medicine). I believe you will need 2 stages of surgery. Best to virtual consult with....(see private Real Self message...
