When I came out of surgery I was surprised at what I saw. The doctor had cut me from one side of my eye to the other. I went in on yesterday, I advised him I was not expecting to be cut this way. He basically dismissed my concerns. Told me it will have to heal.. I know of there are imperfections they will heal that way..I have an appointment in 2 weeks.

The lacrimal gland is at the outer portion of the eye, and if it has fallen can look like a small mass in the upper lid.  An incision can be made over the gland in the lid crease, and the gland can be sutured up under the bone.  If doing an upper eyelid blepharoplasty the gland can be repositioned when needed. In your case, they did a full blepharoplasty incision instead of just over the gland.  Not sure if you had spoken to the doctor about doing this - but they may have thought they were doing a full bleph and repositioning the gland at the same time.  This should heal well.

Repositioning the lacrimal gland is typically done as part of an upper blepharoplasty. You had a standard upper blepharoplasty incision.  However, if one was solely intending to reposition the lacrimal gland, a smaller incision might have sufficed. You are very early from this extensive surgery and time is needed to heal from the swelling that is present in the eyelids.  It sounds as though you and the surgeon did not communicate which sometimes leads to disappointments after surgery.  Please consider reposting with a more specific concern.
