Am I a good candidate for stomach liposuction instead of a tummy tuck? (Photos)

Question

I'm getting a breast reduction / lift this year. I'm interested in some stomach liposuction at the same time. I'm kind of feeling like it may be an option - rather than a full tummy tuck - as I don't have a lot of excess skin? Would I be an ok candidate for lipo over a tuck? I see a surgeon next month.

based on your photos, you look like a good candidate for a TT. Full tummy tuck should tighten your abdominal muscles and remove the excess skin. Flanks liposuction would give you a better shape. I would suggest you to consult a board-certified plastic surgeon because only after a thorough examination you will get more information and recommendations.

Liposuction only removes fat and a tummy tuck removes fat and skin.  It does not appear that you have excess skin.  I believe liposuction would be adequate for you.

Don't be fooled, there are many who'll tell you that you just need fat removal, and likely with some special machine or technique. There is no skin tightening machine and there is no 'best' way to remove fat other than liposuction by a well trained, highly experienced, and skilled plastic surgeon who's really a plastic surgeon (not cosmetic, derm, ent boarded doc calling themselves 'plastic'). Check that surgeon's credentials on the website for the American Society of Plastic Surgeon's website. If they check out there, then find their website and Insta page. Get a feel for what they do. If they only do liposuction and don't do tummy tucks, go somewhere else. Why? Because they'll be the most honest with you.

Liposuction would remove the excess fat from your abdomen and hips and help enhance contours. If you have abdominal wall laxity then a tummy tuck may be advised. You would do best with liposuction to remove the excess fat. If needed, nonsurgical EMSculpt could be done to tighten your abdominal muscles and make you flat. You are not a great candidate for a tuck.

Your abdomen is showing pregnancy related changes.
There are four tissue variables that determine what the abdomen looks like.
These are potential skin, laxity, excess subcutaneous fat, muscle separation from previous pregnancies or excess visceral fat. 
I’m guessing your issues became evident after having pregnancies.
It looks to me like you have more muscle separation as the primary issue rather than access subcutaneous fat.
A tummy tuck primarily treats, skin laxity, and the muscle separation.
Liposuction only treats excess subcutaneous fat.
Your muscle wall is bulging so Liposuction isn’t going to get your abdomen flat the way you probably wanted to.
If you wanna type flat, abdomen, a tummy tuck is probably going to be the better procedure.
On a second note, delivering consistent quality Liposuction results is more difficult than most people realize.
If you’re going to have Liposuction, you should be highly selective when it comes to providers.
Poorly Liposuction can leave people permanently disfigured.
The number of plastic surgeons who approach a mastery of Liposuction is unfortunately quite small.
