Does a bullhorn upper lip lift effect a septum piercing?

Question

Will a bullhorn upper lip lift stretch the hole? As in, would the tug of stitching the skin stretch the septum, flattening the hole/making jewelry fit poorly? Any personal experience with a bullhorn upper lip lift on a patient with a septum piercing would be so helpful (not easy to find!)

Performing a subnasal lip lift on patients with her a nasal, lip or septal pricing can be done uneventfully and just as successfully as patients who have no such piercings. I have done them on all three types of nasal/lip piercings.

While few surgeons are going to have experience with this particular set of circumstances, it is pretty safe to say that a septal piercing should be unaffected by a bullhorn lip lift. After all, the effect of the surgery is to recruit the lip up from below, not pull the nose down from above.
