When should stitches be removed after breast lift?

That's a great question!  Most sutures come out in 7-10 days.  You will have to follow your surgeon's instructions since he has a technique that has been working well for him.  The key is not to have the sutures in for too long so that they do not leave any marks on your skin.  Speedy Recovery!

You will need to follow your own surgeon's recommendations on suture removal because there is variation in the way breast incisions are closed.  Some surgeons use all dissolving sutures, other use some dissolving plus external staples or non-dissolving sutures.  Without knowing your surgeon's technique it is not possible to give meaningful advice.

Having the sutures removed at eight days is standard for the sutures that are not dissolvable.  There are probably some dissolvable sutures in there as well.

The skin can be sutured in different ways which will determine when the removable sutures can be safely extricated. This will be decided by your surgeon. Seldom the sutures have any benefit after 10 days to two weeks.

If using removable sutures, most are taken out within a week to 10 days in healthy patients with healthy healing. Buried sutures will not leave scarring, but external sutures can leave permanent marks if left it for too long. Best of luck

Surgeons use different suturing techniques, and I don't know the exact type of suture your surgeon used.  However, for non-disolvable sutures, it is common practice to have them removed 7-10 days postop if you are healing normally.

One week is pretty typical waiting time for suture removal in most parts of the body in healthy patients. All the best.
