I'm 5 weeks post breast lift and panicking like mad. I had a sub muscular implants and areolar mastopexy 2 years ago for tuberous breasts. This last operation was supposed to give further tightening in one breast where the was still excess breast tissue creating a line across my breast. I've had a 'lollipop' mastopexy and things look odder than ever! The original line is now showing again and the roundness to the outer side has been lost. Also under my breast you can see horizontal creases.

Answer: Final results after a mastopexy. In general, final results after surgery take about one year to occur. However, your plastic surgeon should be able to provide a better idea of the healing course based on the specific operation they performed. Different people and different operations have healing courses that are not similar.

Answer: Concerns after a lollipop lift are normal and the immediate result can be odd. It does take time to settle into the final result and I would ask you be patient. Its difficult to appreciate what you describe and a photo would help immensely. Still, the recommendation is to be patient, discuss your concerns with your surgeon, and know what the revision policy is if you need it. My patients are all told to expect revisions following a lollipop lift as there is always extra skin at the bottom that can be contoured better.
