Wow… There is a reason that NAPS has almost all perfect 5 star reviews. This was my 3rd plastic surgery and my most positive experience by far. The entire team is so gentle, compassionate, funny, and helps you feel at ease in what can be a stressful situation for some. I have a history of extreme extreme EXTREME post operative nausea and vomiting, but within 5 minutes of waking up from anesthesia, I was drinking ginger ale. I ate a soup and sandwich as soon as I got home and have been eating normally since. What a relief to feel so good upon waking. Shoutout to Dr. Joiner (anesthesiologist) and all my amazing nurses, especially Cody and Heather, and a third nurse who I can’t remember her name because I mostly only interacted with her when I was on lots of drugs. I was honestly kind of sad when it was time to go home. This is the only team I will trust for any future procedures, should I decide to do anything else. They may be booked out for a few months for a consultation, but this is a GOOD thing. Get yourself on the books and be patient. It is 10000000% worth it. One last mention, we had planned out two routes of action we could take with my surgery, and Dr. Alderman chose the less invasive, less expensive option because she was confident it would achieve my goals (of which we had spent hours discussing up to that point). I’ll be getting a sizable refund, and that speaks volumes. This is not a surgeon that wants to charge you a ton of money and give you mediocre results. This is a surgeon that wants to deeply understand what you are trying to achieve, and then do what’s necessary (and no more) to get it done. THANK YOU THANK YOU Dr. Alderman & team.
My experience with Dr. Alderman was truly exceptional. Throughout the entire journey, she exuded a comforting presence that made the process incredibly reassuring. As a mother of two, I had long desired to address my internal scar tissue, and Dr. Alderman helped me achieve this with a mini tummy tuck and liposuction to my abdomen. Initially apprehensive about the liposuction, Dr. Alderman's comforting and reassuring nature immediately put me at ease. Her promise to approach the procedure with gentleness and care eased any anxieties I had, making the entire process feel more manageable. I'm thrilled to share my 7-day post-op picture, showcasing a remarkably flat stomach reminiscent of my pre-baby days. It's important to note that prior to surgery, I maintained a rigorous regimen of weightlifting five times a week and adhered to a healthy diet. Additionally, I'm impressed by the placement and length of the scar, which is beautifully positioned low on my abdomen. Dr. Alderman's expertise shines through in every aspect of her work. I couldn't be happier with the results and would highly recommend her to anyone seeking transformative and compassionate care.
My implants have bottomed out, I think that's the term. When I lay down they fall round to my back so I had a revision this week for an internal bra and another lift. It was hard to wear a swimsuit and not lay back without the implants calling bak. I had the procedure 2 days ago and am feeling ok. Some burning in the armpit area where the pockets were sutured. Updated on 20 Oct 2023: 3 days post op. Feeling pretty good. Slight burning on the sides where the internal bra sutures are. Taking Tylenol for pain. I used gabapentin & alternated Tylenol the first 3 days but Tylenol seems to be just fine. The tape comes off at my 1 week appointment and I’m looking forward I seeing them. Dr Alderman called me the evening after I came home from surgery to check in and the nurse called 24 hours later. I’ve sent several email questions and they were answered promptly. Updated on 9 Nov 2023: 3 weeks has flown by. I’ve had some nerve zings from week 2-3 but those have subsided. Very happy with how they look! Still taping all the incisions to flatten the scar! I have another follow up at 6 weeks! Feeling great and zero pain.
I could not be happier with my results! My only regret is not having my procedure done sooner! I had consultations with the top 3 plastic surgeons in Atlanta and after careful consideration, I chose Dr. Alderman. She truly understands a woman’s perspective and stayed true to everything I wanted. I had so many questions and from the moment I met her, she patiently walked me through all of it. Her warm and professional demeanor made me feel safe throughout the entire process. She even shared in my excitement that I now have the perfect boobs! I’ve dreamed of this for so long and thanks to Dr. Alderman, my experience has been life changing in the most positive way. If you want a procedure done but are worried about the results / outcome, go see Dr. Alderman! You won’t be disappointed.
I'm 1 day post op! Was originally a 32a looking to be a small c cup with a tear drop shape & natural look. Went with 325cc mentor implants under the muscle. These reviews really helped me so I figured I'd share my experience! Updated on 28 Jan 2022: Recovery is going well. Not much pain at all, staying on my med schedule & haven’t needed anything stronger than Tylenol. Pain was about 3-4/10 on surgery day & first day post op. Wondering if I maybe should’ve gone a little bigger but I think I’ll be ok, wanted a natural but enhanced look Updated on 1 Feb 2022: Officially 1 week post op. Appointment went well nurse said I look great! Got my tape taken off & tried on my new support bras. I go back next week and start massages next week! Updated on 8 Feb 2022: My doctor said I look perfect! They’re definitely starting to drop more and look like boobs. Starting my daily massaging now too which will help them drop & settle into place. No pain just some tightness in the chest mainly when I wake up or laying down for a long time. I stopped taking Tylenol after about day 8 post op & swelling isn’t as bad but still icing in the morning and at night. Updated on 1 Apr 2022: Had my 6 week appt a few weeks ago & the doctor said I look great! I’m back to normal activity, lifting weights, etc. the girls look so good I LOVE them! I did have a small breakout right under my boobs I think from sweating in that area but they gave me some meds & I used cortizone and it went away in a few days. Overall, best decision I ever made!
I had my consultation with Dr. Amy Alderman the end of January 2021 for a breast augmentation. The office was absolutely beautiful and the staff leading up to the appointment was extremely helpful. I was shocked by how affordable the price was and how it basically included everything. They made me feel very comfortable and understood the look I was going for. Dr. Alderman was so kind and made me feel confident in the process. The surgery is at their office so I didn’t have to deal with a separate surgery center or hospital. I was so excited and decided to book it and I was grateful they had an opening come available for March and I took it! The whole process wasn’t stressful at all.Dr Amy Alderman had such a great way to deal with pain too, I barely had any pain and didn’t have to use any narcotics, only Tylenol. I am about 2 weeks post op and feeling pretty good. Have the usual sensations of tightness and some swelling but nothing major. I have my two week post op appointment soon and can’t wait to hear how everything is going.I love my new look and can’t wait to have everything drop and fluff. My left side is dropping a little more than my right but I hear that is normal. They looks so beautiful! We went with with a 325cc round moderate plus under the muscle. I am 5’3 and 125lbs. I highly recommend Dr. Amy Alderman and her team!
I am week 2 post op from my breast lift with implants. I am so happy with my results already. I can believe how much I actually look like my "fantasy" picture. Dr. Alderman listened and understood all my concerns and she nailed the look I was going for! I'm so excited to see the final results. Can't imagine them looking any better than they do now!
Dr. Alderman is incredible. From my consultation all the way to my surgery day she made me feel so comfortable. At first, we agreed on going above the muscle since i had enough breast tissue to cover the implant, but she decided on surgery day to go under the muscle since i wanted a bigger implant. I told her I was leaving it up to her since she is the surgeon and knows what is best.I remember waking up in the recovery room and the nurse being right by my side the whole time. She called my boyfriend to come in and walked with us down to the car. I had my surgery yesterday 12/29 so this is my second day post-op and I am not in any pain at all. They have me taking Tylenol Arthritis 650mg and Gabapentin as well. I am so glad I am not taking any opioids or narcotics. I slept a full 8 hours last night and woke up in no pain again. Hoping it continues to stay this way. My stats are:5'6 height170lbsEnded up with 400cc mentor moderate+ Updated on 3 Jan 2021: The recovery has seriously been a breeze! I have had a sharp pain in my left breast that comes and goes but that’s about it. Other than that, no pain at all. I am sleeping elevated and staying on top of icing and taking my medicine. I just hope they start to get a little bigger and my nipples aren’t as puffy. My first post-op appointment is tomorrow so hopefully I will get this tape off and get into a compression bra! Can’t wait. Updated on 3 Jan 2021: Updated on 6 Jan 2021: Well, everything is still pretty smooth sailing. Went to my follow up appointment Monday. They took the taping off and put me into a compression bra which was a relief. She said I need to still take it easy for the next week. I went back to work yesterday and that was pretty difficult. I have a desk job but flip through a lot of papers.. so I was exhausted by the end of the day. I still get a sharp pain every now and then in my left breast but it comes and goes so it’s not too bad. My next follow up appointment is this Monday the 11th. I am hoping they drop some since they are still sitting pretty high. I will update soon! Updated on 13 Jan 2021: I am officially 15 days post op. Everything has been smooth sailing! I am sleeping with 2 pillows but find myself waking up flat on my back, which doesn’t bother me at all. The only pain I am really feeling is in my upper back and shoulder blades most likely from my bad posture. I am still continuing to ice to help with the swelling since they are still really tight and sitting a little high. My follow up appointment was this past Monday. They removed my external stitches, showed me how to do my massages and said everything is looking great! She said the more i do my massages, the more they will begin to drop in the pocket. I am having a little boob-greed as I wish I would have gone bigger.. I am really hoping the fluff up and get some more volume to them. Updated on 16 Jan 2021: Thought I would post some pictures of my incision. Seems to be healing pretty nice. February 8th is my 6 week check up and I cannot wait! I am feeling great.. just waiting for them to drop some more and fluff!
My experience with Dr. Alderman and her staff was nothing short of amazing during my journey - from consult to six-month post op. I had been warring with myself for years to have my abdominoplasty after my children. I had been to four different consults over the years and just couldn’t do it because of fear, cost and time down. I am short with a very short waist and had rather large children and had significant weight gain with pregnancy. I was very unhappy with my body with significant excess skin and the lovely post-C section “awning”. Dr. Alderman was very assuring about the entire process and walked me through what to expect step by step. I ended up having a breast augmentation at the same time. While it was a extensive surgery (major elective - make no mistake), my recovery went well and her staff was always accessible. My results are INCREDIBLE. Not only do I look amazing - better than I ever thought - but I can do abdominal workouts I wasn’t able to before, I’m confident enough to wear a bikini, I will keep the lights on ,but my mental outlook is so much better. I would encourage any post-childbirth mother to consider it. It is expensive, it is a substantial recovery, but honestly so worth it in the end. The caring, knowledgeable staff at Dr. Alderman’s office made the entire experience so much easier.
Dr. Alderman and her staff are genuine, caring and compassionate miracle workers. They were able to calm the fear my husband had about the surgery and aftercare by thoroughly explaining the process, listening to and answering all our questions. The surgery and recovery went so much smoother than expected. I couldn’t be happier with my results and would encourage anyone thinking of having a procedure to meet with Dr. Amy. You won’t regret it.
Thank you for your question. First, I would recommend that you be patient. You are only 3 months out from surgery and have not achieved your final result. The decision for full vs. mini tummy tuck depends on your muscle anatomy, extra skin above or below the belly button, and the extent of fatty tissue. I would recommend waiting at least 6 months before you assess your result and discuss any areas of dissatisfaction with your surgeon. At that point you can make the final decision as to whether or not proceed with a full tummy tuck.
I would recommend contacting your surgeons office for their recommendation, as it depends on the type of anesthesia you are having and the time of the day that your procedure will be performed.
I would recommend getting a few consults with board-certified plastic surgeons. In general, we try to limit combined surgical procedures to 6 hours. You may need to have separate procedures in order to safely address all of your areas of concern. I would recommend prioritizing your areas of concern and addressing the top 2-3 areas that bother you the most.
I an unaware of a reason to come off Tramadol, but I would refer you to your surgeon and ask him or her the reason for their decision. More importantly is the issue of your cold. I would recommend being in close contact with your surgeon and their anesthesia team in order to determine whether it is safe to proceed with your surgery.
I often see patients in the early stages of planning a mommy makeover, and commonly, the patient anticipates additional weight loss in the near future. I believe that it can be helpful to you to see a few surgeons in consultation and start planning your journey. I would advise reconsulting with your surgeon if you do loose a substantial amount of weight as the surgical plan may change.
