I’m 25 and until a few weeks ago never had issues with under eye bags. Now I’m waking up every morning with huge puffy gross rings (but they seem to be a bit better by night). They’re giving me wrinkles! Is it possible that I lost volume so quickly that this happened suddenly? I also lost about 30kg but weight loss stopped about 6 months ago!

Thank you for your question there are many things you can do to treat under eye bags, but a combination approach with nonsurgical treatments would give the most improvement: fillers (Belotero, Juvederm Volbella), lasers (Fraxel/CO2), Renuvion (J-Plasma), microneedling/PRP, Cosmelan peels and stem cells. A surgical option to remove skin and/or fat might be the best solution long-term. I suggest getting a formal evaluation with a cosmetic dermatologist to see what is best for you and your goals. Thank you for your question. There are many different factors that could cause eye bags to appear including the ageing process and environmental factors such as lack of sleep and stress. In terms of treatment options tear trough fillers may be an option. There may also be a component of lymphatic drainage to what you describe as water retention in the area can make puffiness look worse especially in the morning. With Tear trough treatment, dermal filler is carefully placed under muscle around the eye to reduce the appearance of under eye bags and dark circles. It is a great alternative to surgery and results last 9-12 months. If you are thinking of going ahead with treatment it is important you thoroughly research practitioners to make sure you find a highly trained and experienced injector.

Under eye bags can be permanently corrected with surgery or temporarily camouflaged with fillers (Restylane, Belotero, Volbella) which can also help nasolabial folds.There are great non-surgical options to fill in under eye depressions and hollowness. Using dermal fillers, a liquid eye-lift can be performed. A dermal filler such as Restylane would be placed in the cheek and tear trough to hide the depression or bag underneath your eye. 
Surgery would require a fat-repositioning lower lid blepharoplasty. In this surgical procedure, fat from the eye area is moved into the tear trough depression filling the actual depression.

Thank you for your question about under-eye bags.
There are many non-surgical ways to tackle under-eye puffiness, lines, and/or dark circles.  There are some skin care products you can use.  Some laser treatments such as ErYag lasers can tighten skin under the eyes and help reduce fine lines.  Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) microneedling can also tighten the skin and help promote collagen production.  Finally, you can camouflage under eye bags by placing fillers such as Juvederm Vollure or Voluma, or Restylane Defyne in the area.   
To be sure, see two or more experienced, licensed and board-certified providers in your area for a complete evaluation to make sure you are a good candidate and that it is safe for you to have treatment. I hope this helps.

Under eye fat bags develop as one ages but genetic has a lot to do with it too. It can develop as early as teenage years. Treatment is possible.

There are many causes of eye bags. Genetics, diet, sleep, specific anatomy all have to do with it. If there are variations on your symptoms, meaning one day it is more swollen than other days then its mostly fluid retention. Try these things: 1. Cut down on salts preservatives 2. Sleep on your back 3. Thank you for your question! There are many possible causes including genetics, aging, fluid retention, salt retention, allergies, lifestyle, sleep, alcohol use, and unknown reasons.  In younger patients, the most common causes that I see are allergy, sleep, and alcohol use.  Allergies cause swelling around the eyelids that results in lower eyelid puffiness. You may notice that the area is worse after eating certain foods or at certain times of the year. In terms of camouflage options for a mild bag associated with a tear trough deformity/hollowness, my favorite option is a filler.  The filler is temporary and when placed deep and conservatively by an experienced injector, the risk of irregularity or migration is very low.  Fillers are great options for patients who aren't interested in the downtime from surgery and who want an immediate result.  The cost of a syringe of filler varies depending on your area but can be between $500-700+ depending on the type of filler.   I recommend a consultation with your primary care doctor to discuss possible underlying issues that can cause swelling/fluid retention in this area. I would wait to do any cosmetic treatments until evaluated by your physician.
