I’m 25 and until a few weeks ago never had issues with under eye bags. Now I’m waking up every morning with huge puffy gross rings (but they seem to be a bit better by night). They’re giving me wrinkles! Is it possible that I lost volume so quickly that this happened suddenly? I also lost about 30kg but weight loss stopped about 6 months ago!
Answer: Dark Circles/Eye Bags/Wrinkles -- Fillers (Belotero, Juvederm Volbella); Lasers (Fraxel/CO2); Renuvion; Microneedling/PRP; Peels Thank you for your question there are many things you can do to treat under eye bags, but a combination approach with nonsurgical treatments would give the most improvement: fillers (Belotero, Juvederm Volbella), lasers (Fraxel/CO2), Renuvion (J-Plasma), microneedling/PRP, Cosmelan peels and stem cells. A surgical option to remove skin and/or fat might be the best solution long-term. I suggest getting a formal evaluation with a cosmetic dermatologist to see what is best for you and your goals. Best, Dr. Emer.

Answer: Under eye bag treatment Hi there! Thank you for your question. There are many different factors that could cause eye bags to appear including the ageing process and environmental factors such as lack of sleep and stress. In terms of treatment options tear trough fillers may be an option. There may also be a component of lymphatic drainage to what you describe as water retention in the area can make puffiness look worse especially in the morning. With Tear trough treatment, dermal filler is carefully placed under muscle around the eye to reduce the appearance of under eye bags and dark circles. It is a great alternative to surgery and results last 9-12 months. If you are thinking of going ahead with treatment it is important you thoroughly research practitioners to make sure you find a highly trained and experienced injector. Hope this helps! Dr Rupert

Answer: Under eye concerns Weight loss can cause volume loss in the face. If they have come on suddenly they could be related to allergies. Most times the cause is genetics. The good news is they respond well to treatment with fillers. This is performed in the office and the results last up to one year. See an expert injector in your area to learn more.

Answer: Sudden Eye Bags? Fillers or surgery Under eye bags can be permanently corrected with surgery or temporarily camouflaged with fillers (Restylane, Belotero, Volbella) which can also help nasolabial folds. There are great non-surgical options to fill in under eye depressions and hollowness. Using dermal fillers, a liquid eye-lift can be performed. A dermal filler such as Restylane would be placed in the cheek and tear trough to hide the depression or bag underneath your eye. Surgery would require a fat-repositioning lower lid blepharoplasty. In this surgical procedure, fat from the eye area is moved into the tear trough depression filling the actual depression. I hope this helps!
