Hi there, it could just be swelling. Massaging the area can help bring the swelling down. Keep in mind that it takes about 1 to 1 year and a half for the nose to heal fully. Good luck with everything and if you have any questions feel free to contact our office!

Can I get a rhinoplasty if have a benign tumor?

Schwannoma are typically benign tumors. As long as your schwannoma is not on your nose or within the field of the surgery for your rhinoplasty, there is no reason that you can’t have a rhinoplasty. Your plastic surgeon should be aware of your schwannoma. Best wishes.

Broke my nose a year after rhinoplasty. Is it crooked or just swelling?

All of your swelling should dissipate approximately 30 days after your accident. If you still have a crooked nasal appearance at that time, you may consider visiting your rhinoplasty specialist for evaluation and management. Wishing you all moving forward. Sincerely, Dr Joseph

If you had rasping of your bridge one year post-surgery without osteotomies, that could be a reason to cause a widened nasal appearance. Additionally, you appear to have a slightly crooked nasal appearance in the upper 1/3 of your nose. Issues like this maybe remediated with well performed...
