It's difficult to tell from your picture. I recommend following up with your injector. If necessary, the filler can be reversed with hyaluronidase. Hope this helps.
Bruising is common after lip injections, and it can take up to 2 weeks for the bruising to subside. Be patient, and if after 2 weeks you still have concerns, meet with your injector to evaluate your results. Hyaluronidase can be injected to reverse the effects of the filler. Best Wishes,Dr. Aldo Guerra
No, this is unlikely to be permanent. It takes 1-2 weeks for final results. If you're unhappy with your final results, you can have it reversed with hyaluronidase and try a different technique next time. See an expert. Best, Dr. Emer
Thank you for your question. From your photos, this appears to be a bruise which is common after lip augmentation. Typically, swelling and bruising can take up to 2 weeks to resolve. You can apply cold compresses to the treated area to help reduce swelling and bruising. It is also advisable to avoid any NSAID’s such as ibuprofen before and after treatment as they tend to thin the blood and increase the risk of bruising and swelling. If you have any other concerns please follow up with your injector. Best of Luck!
The lips are vascular and contain blood vessels. It is not uncommon to have some bruising. You can apply some arnica cream or witch hazel. Ultimately, you will be fine.
Bruises are not permanent observations. They always go away. You have nothing to worry about and good luck from New York City
Hitting blood vessels during dermal filler injections isn't abnormal. It can happen. There are ways to try to prevent it from happening. But usually it will heal on its own, and any swelling and discoloration should also fade in time. Arnica can help.
Hi there, First, I must say your lips (shape and fullness) look great! How long after filler is this picture taken? Bruising can last 2-3 weeks if it was really significant. Always best to follow up with your provider who did the injection. I've not seen busing last more than the 2-3 weeks, so likely this will resolve but have the injector assess this. Thank you for your question! If the white patch was not present prior to the treatment using Juvederm, it will most definitely go away once your lips heal. The healing process starts at the moment that the bruising disappears and then it takes approximately two additional weeks. Best of luck!
Hi, thanks for your question. It can take up to 2 weeks for your swelling to fully go down, and for your final result to become apparent following a lip filler treatment. Definitely follow-up with your provider if things have not normalized within that timeframe.
Hi Tine, Volite, now FDA approved for use in the United States as SkinVive, is a hyaluronic acid that must be precisely injected at the proper level of the skin, the deep dermis. If it is injected too superficially, it can form the bumps that have developed on your face. The product effects...
