Dear kikitwin,it is hard to tell for sure without an examination. Generally speaking, you should be able to get BBL surgery. If you are considering a surgery, I would suggest you to consult a board-certified plastic surgeon. Only after a thorough examination you will get more information and recommendations.Daniel Barrett, MDCertified, American Board of Plastic SurgeryMember, American Society of Plastic SurgeryMember, American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery
Sculptra is a filler that has been approved for facial augmentation and has been used off label for butt augmentation. Getting Sculptra injected into your buttocks should not prevent you from having a BBL. Sculptra can be effective for filling small surface irregularities or volume deficits, but it should not be expected to produce significant buttock augmentations.
Yes, you can still get a BBL after having gotten Sculptra. 12mL of Sculptra is not really enough to make a noticeable difference. I think you will be much more pleased with the results of a surgical BBL.
There should be no contraindication for you having a BBL procedure following Sculptra placement. You should wait 6 months post Sculptra to allow for complete healing.Dr. T
Each plastic surgeon will have their own view on this so if you’ve chosen a Surgeon I suggest you ask him or her. If you have not chosen a surgeon then I recommend having multiple in person consultations at which time you can show your medical history including your previous injections.Simply having had previous sculptra injections should not prevent you from getting a bbl.Best,Mats Hagstrom MD
