Would fixing a weak chin also fix downturned lips?

I definitely have a weak chin in addition to downturned lips that I'd like to fix. Could surgery for a weak chin also fix that?

Lip position or shape will not be fixed or changed after any form of genioplasty. (bony sliding genioplasty or chin implant) The lips lie above the level of the chin and thus are not directly affected. Whether they will be percieved differently because of the change in the chin position is possible however.

A chin implant will only help augment a weak chin profile and will have no effect on  the lower lip. For many examples, and more information please see link below

Yes. The lower lip is supported by the chin slope and prominence so by advancing the chin you will see the lip roll inwards to a more upright position. The balance is much improved this way.
