What can be done to correct a bad vertical thigh lift? (Photos)

If the appearance of your vertical medial thigh scar continues to bother you, a revision may be necessary. Many plastic surgeons would recommend starting with liposuction of the bilateral anterior, medial, and posterior thighs. After allowing about six months for healing, you could then proceed with a definitive thigh lift revision to remove additional loose inner thigh skin and the previous scar tissue.

In your photos, it appears that there is some residual loose skin in the inner thigh area. By addressing this skin after the initial liposuction, you can achieve a more refined result.

If you prefer not to undergo thigh liposuction, a revision of your medial thigh lift may not yield optimal results. However, if your main concern is the appearance of the scars rather than the loose skin, you could consider using the FRAXEL laser, which helps to minimize scarring. Additionally, scar bleaching creams prescribed by your plastic surgeon can help reduce discoloration.

Thank you for submitting your questions and photos. I am sorry your thigh lift results are not what you had hoped for. Your scars do appear to sit a little too "forward," making them more visible. From the photos, it appears that your surgeon may not have tightened you vertically as well. It is common for inner thigh skin to not stay super tight over time and may need small revision later, but it appears like you still carry significant skin laxity.
