Had a t shaped thigh lift in 2019…still not happy with my thighs, mainly the front and sides of them, the cellulite and just sagging look. Do I need a revision? I was looking into a lower body lift, would this smooth out the front and sides of my thighs?
Answer: Considering options From the photo it appears your concerns could be improved with surgery. A thigh lift will address the thighs only and would involve a vertical scar along the inner length of the thigh. Further assessment is needed but you may also be a candidate for a lower body lift. This will address the thighs to some degree as well. I encourage you to begin by visiting with a board certified plastic surgeon near you for a consultation to learn more.

Answer: Body Lift to Address Outer Thighs Hello honeygyrl009. Thank you for your question regarding whether you need a thigh lift revision. There are four parts of the thigh: the front, back, inside, and outside. The vertical longitudinal medial thigh lift addresses the front, inside, and backside of the thigh but does not take care of the outside or lateral thigh. The lateral thigh is best treated with a lateral thigh lift, hip lift, or 360 circumferential lower body lift. In your particular case, most of your thigh deformity appears to be on the outer portion of your thigh. Most plastic surgeons would suggest a 360 circumferential body lift, which includes a hip lift. This would significantly improve your outside or lateral thigh. At the same time, I would recommend inner thigh liposuction. The inner thigh liposuction, combined with J plasma, can help to maximize the reduction of skin dimpling. From your pictures, the most obvious and concentrated area of thigh deformity is your lateral thigh. Addressing the lateral thigh with a lower body lift would likely provide the best results. If you combine inner thigh liposuction with your lower body lift, most plastic surgeons would agree that you will achieve optimal results. However, if your inner thigh deformities persist after inner thigh liposuction, you may need a revision vertical inner thigh lift. Most plastic surgeons would agree that a hip lift or circumferential body lift would be the best initial treatment for your lateral thigh. Good luck. I hope I have answered your questions regarding whether you need a thigh lift revision. Sincerely, J. Timothy Katzen, MD, FASMBS, FICS

Answer: Thigh Lift Concerns Thank you for submitting your questions and photo. I'm sorry your thigh lift results aren't quite what you had hoped for. Skin laxity and cellulite to the front and side of thighs is a somewhat tricky problem to correct. A lower body lift can lift and tighten the outer thighs and buttocks. Liposuction of the anterior thighs and possible skin re-tightening of the medial thighs can correct some of the laxity and cellulite in the front. You'll need to consult a board certified plastic surgeon to discuss all of your options to improve the appearance of your thighs. Good luck and thanks again for reaching out!
