You have the appearance of wide square chicklet shaped teeth. The problem is the length vs width of the teeth. Periodontal cosmetic surgery or a gingival (gum) lift is needed.Ideally that is done before veneers ar placed, doing it now will expose the margins when you smile. There are also size discrepancies between centrals and laterals that are visually displeasing, in my view. Most wll trained cosmetic dentists will do 4 or 8 veneers not 6 because of the natural curve of the mouth.I would go back and discuss with your dentist.Ira L Shapira DDS, D,ABDSM, D,AAPM, FICCMO
Hello there,I'm sorry to hear you're unhappy with your veneers. Your veneers are an improvement, but they are a bit bulky. Right now, your teeth are short and wide. If you're unhappy with your veneers, I would recommend a gum lift and having them redone. This is why it's so important to look at before and after photos when selecting your dentist. They will give you good indication about what you can expect. Good luck and I hope this helps. Follow me if you have more questions.Sarah Thompson, DMDSt. Louis, MO area (O'Fallon, IL)Real Self 100
There are a couple of things that can be done for you before placing the veneers. One is moving the gum tissue on your top teeth up a little, that way you will expose more of the tooth and the teeth will look longer. The other is by getting Invisalign or braces, closing the gap between the teeth a little more so that the veneers won't have to be so wide. Veneers can only do so much, but by doing those other two procedures you can get a more aesthetic result.
yes, it looks big and bulky. its because of u have spacing in teeth . remember veneer is for cosmetic improvement and not for space closure. so when u use veneer for space closure it will look big. in my practice i give veneer followed by braces treatment. ortho treatment will align all teeth, close all spaces etc and later veneer for aesthetic improvement .
You had lots of spaces in between your teeth and your doctor tried closing the gaps with 6 veneers. Its always best to do 8 veneers in this case so one can divide the spaces more evenly. Your veneers are too thick and too wide right now. To add to the length, you need to laser the gums and by doing 8 veneers, one can definelty make them less wide. As far as bulkiness, not sure what type of veneers your dentist used, but usuallly veneers are much thinner.
I don´t think your veneers look big, comparing to yoru original teeths just a little but it is normal that you feel are bigger that the normal because of the custom, but by the time you will feel them normal. Ideally if the Veneer is Prepared in Lab, it should not get Stained and it is ideal to replace it rather than Repair it as the material used is different ( Porcelain ). Go to your doctor and ask for the stains on your veneers.
first of all , the most difficult teeth are a women front teeth, you have a gummy smile, and high lip, 6 veneers are not an option, the solution , is to make at least 8 , veneers, gum surgery, more higher veneers, and that will make them look more aesthetically correct.the problem is not the size, is the height. that is what it makes them look wide.you have a solution, but need to discuss that with your doctor, who will pay for the replacement.
Hello there,I have used veneers to transform the size, shade and shape of patient's smiles for over a decade. Despite your past, they may be a great option for you. Veneers are not recommended for any of the following: poor oral hygiene, insufficent tooth structure or missing or broken teeth. ...
Hello there,I would recommend veneering your upper and lower teeth if you plan to choose a shade that is significantly different than your natural teeth, especially if whitening is not an option for your lower teeth. You want veneers to transform your smile, but you don't want them to stand o...
Hi:To improve the alignment of the two side front teeth, veneer is a appropriate quick option. However, to align the crowding and make your upper teeth more symetrical I would suggest orthodontic treatment. Best of luck.
