Dark area surrounding eyes at 24. What are my options? (photos)

Hello! I was wondering if there are any steps I can take to remedy this dark area surrounding my eye that has gotten worse over the last few years. I have read about creams for lightening and acids or some combination of both as treatment but I do not know if they would solve my issue or why my eyes are dark all around in the first place. Is there something I can do that does not involve a procedure being done or is that my only option? Thank you!

This may be very difficult condition to treat, in particular if it shows in such a young age. Chemical peel and , in some cases, injection of stem cells (fat nano grafts) may be of help. Good luck.

Thank you for posting your photos with your interesting question. This is most likely hereditary and appears that you have deep-set eyes and in certain lighting, shadowing occurs. At 24 years old, I would recommend lower eyelid filler such as Restylane or Belotero which lasts up to 1 year and can be done in a short office visit. This is NOT a beginner filler injection technique. I recommend that you have a consultation with a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon who is experienced and confident with under-eye filler injections. 1.  It does not appear that you have significant volume loss .  If you did I would address that first with filler.
2.  Microneedling with Hydroquinone
3.  Skin care regimen with retinoid, hydroquinone and kojic acid
4.  Vitamin C
5.  Mild chemical peel
