Im a little confused by your question because of the terminology you use and the different forms of hyaluronic acid that is commercially available. If you mean the stabilized fillers like belotero, juvederm, perlane, restylane, or voluma then the answer is yes they will give you visible predictable results that last from 6 mos to 2 years. The duration is determined by location and product choice. If you mean serums of hyaluronic acid, or "pure" HA, that may be something different. HA's are also in multiple skin care products or serums for example. That form of HA has not been manufactured or stabilized in the way that the fillers mentioned above have been. So stay away from any other form. It would break down too quickly, and likely is an unapproved product.
Hi Jaylee,It is safe to inject any form of Hyaluronic Acid Based injection on the face and the result of the injection is immediate, however, this result is also not permanent and usually only stays from 3months to 2years depending on a lot of factors.
If this will be your first time having fillers, I would recommend Voluma. It's meant for cheek augmentation, is soft, long-lasting, and can be dissolved in the rare case you get an undesired outcome. Other reasonable options including Radiesse, Perlane, and Bellafill.
There are a lot of options for you. I would suggest seeing a facial contouring specialist who works with younger patients doing antiaging/preventative treatments. Injections with cannulas hurt less and decrease bruising and swelling and I would suggest you find someone who does that...
Hi Simone. Using Vitrase (Hyaluronidase) is not an exact solution because the product is a liquid enzyme dissolving only part of the filler is very difficult. For our patients, we caution them against this process as the enzyme may affect more of the product on one side than another...
