2 weeks post fat transfer to a chin dimple and now it's already returning. Advice?

While there was the swelling you could not see the dimple at all. The plastic surgeon told me over a few months some fat would go away. It's only been a few weeks and my chin dimple almost (not completely) looks the way it did before in certain lighting. What do I do. I paid good money for this and it is disheartening to see it return after just a few weeks.

Fat injections are represent a wonderful volumizing adjunct for our patients. Although I love this treatment, in my opinion, it is not a great choice for precise problem ares as small creases or depressions. We judge the result not much earlier than 4 months after the treatment. Therefore, you may continue to see a deepening of your dimple.But let's keep our fingers crossed and maybe it will be good.

Unfortunately it is hard to predict how much fat will remain after a transfer.  We usually think that about 50%  of it will go away.  It may take more than one fat transfer therefore to really fill in an area like a dimple.

dimples are usualy caused by a little tendon or fascia band running from the muscle to the skin. You would not expect fat grafting or fillers to fix this unless those bands are cut.
