Planning Ahead for Future Facelift/Neck Lift — Which Antiaging Treatments Now Could potentially Complicate Surgeries?
In approximately 10 years , I will likely consider a neck lift and facelift (likely a deep plane approach), and my goal is to set myself up for the best surgical outcome. In the meantime, I’d like to slow the aging process but I’m concerned that certain non-surgical treatments today could make future surgery more difficult or limit results I’ve heard that treatments like energy-based devices (e.g., Ultherapy Prime or radiofrequency) and biostimulatory fillers (like Sculptra) may cause changes to tissue that could complicate future facelift or neck lift procedures. My questions: 1) Which treatments should I avoid now if I want the best possible outcome from a future facelift/neck lift, with minimal complications 2) Are there specific anti-aging procedures known to cause fibrosis, scarring, or tissue changes that make surgery more challenging (especially for deep plane techniques)? 3) Are treatments like Ultherapy Prime, radiofrequency, or Sculptra truly problematic in this context, or am I overthinking it? 4) What treatments are considered “safe” and conservative from a surgical planning standpoint for best surgical outcome. Currently, I’m using Botox, HALO laser, and prescription retinoids (Retin-A) on my face and neck, and my understanding is that these are generally safe and shouldn’t interfere with future surgery, but I’d also appreciate confirmation on this too.
