I sustained an orbital blowout fracture in my right eye in 2009; it was treated too conservatively and I began noticing displacement after a few years. I was not able to consult with a surgeon until 2019, after which I received a medpor/titanium mesh implant to correct my orbital position. I strongly suspect that I received incorrect post-operation instructions that okayed resumption of sleep apnea-related PAP therapy too early, resulting in symptoms consistent with orbital emphysema and an upper respiratory infection. I discontinued PAP therapy and my enophthalmos and hypoglobus recurred, albeit to a lesser extent. If at all possible, I'd like to know what my next steps should be and what I might expect in the way of treatment. Obviously I'd love to restore the appearance and function of my eye, but also important is treatment of my sleep apnea. The reason for the extended nature of treatment for this issue has been inconsistent access to care/insurance.
