When can I get Masseter Botox after Rhinoplasty?

You can get your Botox treatment one week after rhinoplasty unless you have excessive swelling. In that case, we want you to wait until your swelling subsides completely. With fillers, we suggest either doing them prior to rhinoplasty or waiting 6 months following the rhinoplasty surgery to allow time for the swelling to subside.

You can have Masseter Botox injections any time after Rhinoplasty. These 2 procedures are totally unrelated.

If you're planning to get Masseter Botox after your rhinoplasty and you're staying overseas for about a month, it's generally safe to wait about 2-3 weeks post-rhinoplasty before having the Botox injected. By this point, most of the initial swelling, bruising, and pressure sensitivity around the lower face and jaw will have improved, and it reduces the risk of inadvertently affecting healing or causing discomfort during the Botox treatment. That said, it’s important to confirm this timeline with your rhinoplasty surgeon, as healing can vary based on the surgical technique used and your individual recovery. There is no reason to wait. You can have masseter botox done the day before, the day of, the day after, or any time. The masseter muscles are far away from your nose and there will be no effect from swelling or surgery.
Be careful with oversea surgery. There are many times that visits after surgery are helpful and the money you feel you save may not be there in the long run.

Roughly 1 month after rhinoplasty should be a decent time frame to get botox to the masseter muscle.

Your surgeon will be the best one to answer this as she/he is most familiar with the details of your case and how you've been progressing through recovery. You will want to wait until initial swelling has subsided and are healing normally before having Botox. You may be able to have it before you leave to go home if you are staying for a month.
