I've been skinny my whole entire life and when I had my second child I gain so much weight that I don't feel confident or pretty anymore with my body I don't I've been trying to lose weight I've been working out eating healthy and I'm just scared because my family doesn't want me to do the procedure because they say it's too dangerous but I want to do it I've been thinking about doing it for a year now but before I do it I want to find the best doctor

Far more important than deciding if MM is for you is the skill and experience of your plastic surgeon. Choose your surgeon rather than the technique and let him explain why one technique may be better than another and if you need a tummy tuck. Thank you for your question. Finding the proper surgeon is critical to the success of your mommy makeover. You need to find a surgeon certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery who specializes in cosmetic breast and body procedures. The ASPS website will provide a list of properly trained surgeons in your area. You should go on several consultations and see which surgeon you like best. Ask to see a lot of before and after pictures of their work. Hope this helps.

The first thing you should do is check the ASPS website for a list of doctors in your area. Then look at online reviews. Check the surgeon's website. Look at their results. Ask around to see if you have any personal references, these can be very helpful. Once you have screened the doctor, meet with them. If they are professional and sincere, educated and experienced, if they listen to your concerns and develop a plan which fits with your goals, you have found a good match.The mommy makeover is a combination of a breast operation and a trunk operation. There is no strict definition of the combination. You could have either breast lift or augmentation, tummy tuck or liposuction and it still could be considered a mommy makeover. The combinations can range from $12,000 to $15,000.

Hello and thank you for the question. I would suggest the first question you need to answer is whether or not you plan on having more children. The Mommy makeover ( breast combo with tummy tuck and or lipo bbl, ) is best done after you have finished having children. You can always have more children after surgery, but there will be new loose skin, stretch marks, etc.. and you will likely need to have the procedure redone.The mommymakeover is typically done in an out patient surgery center and you should consider taking about 2 weeks off of work. It will be 1-2 months before you can resume exercise. There are many board certified plastic surgeons in this area who can help you. You should have several consultations before making any decisions. As always, best to be healthy, no smoking, and make sure any health concerns you have are managed by your primary care md.
