Had cataract surgery 1 year ago. I still have a film coating over my left eye it waters and causes my vision to be blurry.

Thank you for sharing your question. Your complaints are not unusual. Sometimes the problem is a film on the implant which can be lasered or it can be dryness for which you should use artificial tears. Often it just takes extra time to recover. I hope this helps.

Watering from the eye can also affect the vision as your tear film is an important refractive surface. 
Ask your ophthalmologist to assess your tear film and test your tear ducts. Often times if the watering improves, it can improve your vision.

Are you seeing the surgeon or a referring optometrist?Has the blur been there since the surgery or did it come on afterwards?There are many causes of blurred vision after cataract surgery. There could also be issues related to the floaters.At any rate, see another board certified ophthalmologist and see if they can find an issue or agree your current doctor.
