How do I eliminate puffiness and bags under my eyes after cataract surgery 6 months ago? (Photo)

Question

Could it be that I was allergic to the numbing drops and gel that was used before the surgery? Will this puffiness subside eventually? Is there a natural cream or essential oil I can use to eliminate these unsightly bags under my eyes? I tried tea bags and slices of cucumber yesterday. Will this eventually help with repeated use?  I had cataract surgery in both eyes 6 months ago.

Thank you for sharing your question and posting your photo. The is no connection between your cataract surgery and the bags. Patients often did not notice the bags prior to surgery do to the poor vision, noticed the bags more because they don’t require glasses or coincidentally developed the bags due to profession 6 months post surgery. See an experienced oculoplastic surgeon for comprehensive evaluation and treatment. The creams won’t make much difference. Good luck!
