Is getting rid of a ballpoint tip nose a hard procedure? (photos)

I am 21 years old and I really wish to get a nose job, although the thought of it really scares me as I've seen people with awful results. My question is, would it be a difficult procedure to go from a ballpoint tip nose to a pointier slimmer one?

From the photos you provided you appear to be a good candidate for rhinoplasty.  Redefining the nasal tip to achieve a narrower, more defined appearance is a very reasonable goal.  An experienced rhinoplasty surgeon should be able to help you achieve your desired outcome.

Communication is the most important thing when meeting a rhinoplasty surgeon. It is important that you feel comfortable with their aesthetic goals but also their personality. The results of nose surgery are not immediate. they take up to 12-18 months to see the final changes. Computer imaging is one tool we use in the office to discuss possible changes. Other patient photographs of their before and after journey can help demonstrate their results. Sometimes patients bring in pictures of noses that they like or do not like. These are all great communication tools, not guarantees of surgery but they can help you develop a feel if this is the right surgeon for you.

All rhinoplasty is hard.   I think you could probably expect some improvement in tip definition with a properly thought out and  executed surgery. You will ultimately be limited by skin thickness,  however.   Start  by seeing a rhinoplasty specialist in person.

Anyway, a full exam would be more helpful but based on your photos you would benefit from a well done procedure on your tip and perhaps the ventrum as well. A full set of facial photographs are required to determine what can be accomplished with a rhinoplasty procedure due to the fact that the nose is a three-dimensional structure. The bridge line and the tip can be narrowed, yet kept natural and balanced in appearance. Computer imaging would also be helpful to understand what can and cannot be accomplished with a rhinoplasty procedure.
