Silicone nasal implants can be removed in the office under local anesthesia. As long as your nasal bridge and tip were not significantly modified during your procedure the shape of your nose should be very similar to the pre-surgery look once you've healed. The nasal silicone implant is easy to remove. The procedure is quick and can be done in the office with local anesthesia. The nasal shape goes back to what it was before surgery but the swelling can take a few months to resolve. Alar trim (Alarplasty) is a permanent procedure. Once that is done, you cannot reverse it. If you are bothered by the scars, these will get better over time. The redness can be covered by make up while the healing is in progress. RegardsDr. J

Removing the prosthesis is actually fairly easy. Getting the final aesthetic result you want is much more complicated. It's highly likely to go back to the original nose but you certainly can end up with something that is aesthetically pleasing.
