I had nose job 3 months ago rhinoplasty with alar trim. And to be honest, I don't like it at all. Can I remove my silicone implant? It can go back to my old nose? Even they trim my alar?

The nasal silicone implant is easy to remove. The procedure is quick and can be done in the office with local anesthesia. The nasal shape goes back to what it was before surgery but the swelling can take a few months to resolve. Alar trim (Alarplasty) is a permanent procedure. Once that is done, you cannot reverse it. If you are bothered by the scars, these will get better over time. The redness can be covered by make up while the healing is in progress. RegardsDr. J

Removing the prosthesis is actually fairly easy. Getting the final aesthetic result you want is much more complicated. It's highly likely to go back to the original nose but you certainly can end up with something that is aesthetically pleasing.

Silicone nasal implants can be removed in the office under local anesthesia. As long as your nasal bridge and tip were not significantly modified during your procedure the shape of your nose should be very similar to the pre-surgery look once you've healed. Yes, you can have your silicone implant removed if you are dissatisfied with it. However, understand that your nose will return to its original appearance prior to having the implant placed. Depending on how much of your ala were narrowed, the nose should still resemble the original appearance even without the implant. Make sure you have a detailed discussion with your rhinoplasty surgeon prior to proceeding with any additional surgical interventions. Best of luck.
