The nasal silicone implant is easy to remove. The procedure is quick and can be done in the office with local anesthesia. The nasal shape goes back to what it was before surgery but the swelling can take a few months to resolve. Alar trim (Alarplasty) is a permanent procedure. Yes, you can have your silicone implant removed if you are dissatisfied with it. However, understand that your nose will return to its original appearance prior to having the implant placed. Depending on how much of your ala were narrowed, the nose should still resemble the original appearance even without the implant.
