Without the preoperative photographs it is very difficult to assess if there is a new hump formation.  The edema in the postop period can easily camouflage the final results.  To avoid up post operative dorsal hump from forming it is best to continue applying nighttime tape.RegardsDr. J

Thanks for the question.  It's too early to make value judgments with only ten days after a rhinoplasty.Swelling after a rhinoplasty depends of the surgery complexity.In this regard, the nasal swelling Post-op It can last from two weeks to two months.To reduce this swelling, I recommend you perform delicates daily lymphatic drainage massage therapy over the face (around the nose) avoid sun exposure, and take pain/inflamation pills, as your surgeron precribe you.Kind regards, Dr. Emmanuel Mallol Cotes.-

Dear Lockysfhhh,From your photos, I can still see bruising.  This is because at 10 days after surgery, you are from from done healing.  If you trusted your doctor before the surgery, trust him or her now!  Ask about your concerns and then give it time to heal!All the best,Dr. Michelle Yagoda

I do not see anything unusual in the photos.  At ten days you are likely very swollen.  It might take a year or more for all the swelling to subside.

I do not see anything abnormal at this time.  You are swollen from just having surgery and the best thing to do at this moment is to just be patient.  Maintain close communication with your surgeon.  Best wishes.
