Lipoma changes. Is it possible for a lipoma to affect a nearby lymph node?

keina
I have had a lipoma behind one of my armpits for years. Recently I noticed another lump which is next to, or possibly connected to, the initial lipoma. This second lump is firmer with a more defined shape than the lipoma, but is soft and moveable. Is it possible for a lipoma to affect a nearby lymph node - possibly by blocking drainage or growing and invading the lymph node itself?
