I get Juvederm Vollure lip injections and like them better than other fillers, because I rarely get any lumps/bumps. However, I read that there have been some cases reported by Allergan that people are getting inflammatory nodules 3-4 months post injections. To avoid that happening, I’m on the hunt for a similar filler in terms of smoothness and longevity, and I wanted to ask if Restylane Defyne is a good alternative that offers similar results? Most important for me is a smooth filler.

Answer: Restylane Defyne for lip augmentation Today, I avoid using any of the Vycross fillers (Voluma, Vollure, and Volbella) from Allergan because of this reported increased risk of inflammatory nodules. When treating the lips, I choose between Restylane Silk, Restylane and Restylane Refyne/Defyne depending on what look the patient is going for. Restylane Defyne is a good alternative to Vollure. It gives a very smooth result because of its gel flexibility and integration with the skin.
