my nose has been bent for quite a few years and i was never diagnosed with a break. However upon an assault a week ago, i got an X-ray and they said i have a deviated septum and have booked me in to get it aligned in a few week. but, if they don't know, which i believe and only assume that i broke it years ago, wouldn't it have healed in that position and they wouldn't be able to put it back into place without surgery? Will they have to break my nose completely? Im afraid the bone is too strong

Answer: Nasal evaluation Hello and thank you for your question. The best advice you can receive is from an in-person consultation. Based on your photographs, you may benefit from a septoplasty and spreader grafts to help straighten your nose. This decision should be based on a detailed discussion with equal input from both you and your surgeon. Make sure you specifically look at before and after pictures of real patients who have had this surgery performed by your surgeon and evaluate their results. The most important aspect is to find a surgeon you are comfortable with. I recommend that you seek consultation with a qualified board-certified plastic surgeon who can evaluate you in person. Best wishes and good luck. Richard G. Reish, M.D. FACS Harvard-trained plastic surgeon

Answer: Nose To correct the misplaced bones of you nose surgery would be required. Sometimes a filler can be injected under the skin of the nose that will make the appearance my symmetrical. An examination would be required to determine if this is possible.
