Question about implant shape and volume for revision to address a broken implant on my right side (MRI verified) Current implants are Mcghan style 45 500cc placed in 2002. At the time I purchased the $100 warranty. I am a 36DD. The main issues I have had are: Implants fall into armpits when I lay down (thats not sexy). The breast skin is a little loose with this size implant. Questions: Can I get larger Mentor memory shape textured implant? Does the $100 warranty cover costs?
Answer: Warranty Coverage Good afternoon, McGhan was purchsed by Inamed which was later purchased by Allergan, who currently manufacture the Natrelle brand of implants. So the first step would be to contact Allergan (or have your PS do this for you), to open up a claim and find out what (if any) coverage you may have. Most likely they will give you a free set of implants but nothing more. And you may not receive Mentor implants under an Allergan warranty- they are the two primary implant companies in the U.S. and do not like each other.

Answer: Implant size and type Dear Cindy Tigger, breast implant type and sizing selection is a complicated process and requires a detailed consultation that includes a discussion of your goals, a detailed examination, and a lengthy discussion. But the decision will always start and end with the patient. When it comes to sizing, we have all of our patients find 3 photos of their desired breast size. We ask for naked breast photos because clothing can obscure the true size (push up bras). Next, we consult with patients and go over the photos and take detailed breast measurements during a physical exam. Next, we using a sizing algorithm to determine a range of implants that will work based on the exam and the measurements.Lastly, during the operation, we use silicone sizers in the operating room to see how the size actually looks in the breast. We sit the patient up in the operating room, while asleep of course, and compare the sizer result with their desired look photos. If it is too small, we start the process over with a slightly larger implant. We don't stop until we get the perfect match.Of all of my breast augmentation patients, every one of them has been happy with their size due to this detailed and meticulous process. You don't want to invest time and money into a result that is either too big or too small. You should discuss your concerns with a board-certified plastic surgeon and make sure that your surgeon understands your goals. Answer: Breast augmentation If you like your size but not your shape than a lift would get your nipple little bit higher and get rid of some of the hanging. Your breasts falling into your armpits when you lay flat is a function of the size and location of your scar around the implant Simply tightening the pocket on the sides would stop that from happening. I would not go to a textured implant and I don’t think the teardrop shape is needed with as much Breast tissue as you have. If you want to be bigger then tighten the pockets on the outside and go to a bigger smooth round implant and that would take up the extra skin you have and probably make you happy. I would not expect McGann‘s warranty to pay for any operation if you’re putting mentor implants in, but you would have to check and see.
