I have been getting Juvederm lip injections every few months for several years. Recently, after a course of antibiotics I developed oral thrush. I am planning to have lip injections in a few weeks when I come to the end of my itraconazole course and the thrush has gone. Some of the itraconazole may still be In my system-is this safe?

Hello and thank you for your question. Juvederm and steroids don’t mix well so I would wait to the end of your cycle or after to get Juvederm. You risk more bleeding and the Juvederm will wear off more quickly while taking steroids. Best wishes.

Yes you can get lip fillers if you have TGN but you should let your dermatologist or surgeon know because if an episode occurs. I would likely pretreat you with medtrol and neurontin.
