I have a fringe to cover my forehead. If I get a forehead reduction, would I have to put my fringe back while the hairs grow?

Many of my patients that have bangs, continue to wear them while the hairline lowering heals. Others that don't have bangs, end up cutting bangs while they are healing. A large marjority of patient's seeking hairline lowering have had bangs at some point in their lives.

If you have a forehead reduction, or hairline lowering/advancement procedure, you can choose how you wish to wear your fringe after the operation. Your hair would not be cut during the procedure, so your fringe would remain undisturbed. You may choose to keep it while your incision heals and then cut it once it is healed to your satisfaction

I assume when you use the term 'fringe' you are referring to bangs. Since no hair is shaved or the shape of the hairline disrupted in the incision used for forehead reduction surgery (which I assume you mean a frontal hairline advancement) you would be have to keep the same hairstyle right after the surgery.
