Male, early 40s. Overweight from youth to early 20s, was at 185lbs, 5'6". Lost weight through diet & exercise, down to 140 lbs in 6 months. Loose skin remained. Built muscle to try and fill out, but even now, despite being in best shape of life, my skin prevents my abdominal and chest muscles from showing their full potential. I'm 5'6", 150lbs and 11%BF (via BodPod). One Dr. recommends Renuvion w/o lipo. Says not enough skin for tuck. Your opinion?
Answer: Options An in person evaluation is best but you may be a candidate for a tummy tuck to directly remove the excess skin. Another option is BodyTite. This minimally invasive procedure can address excess fat as well as tighten skin using RF technology. The results can be enhanced by adding Morpheus8 treatments. I've included a video on BodyTite that I hope you find helpful.

Answer: Options for Moderate to Severe Laxity For any moderate to severe laxity, considering a mini tuck on the lower abdomen is certainly reasonable and will hide well in the hairline and below the underwear line. If an incision is completely undesirable, the best option is one of the two good skin tighteners on the market, which is the renuvion by Apyx or the bodyTite by Inmode. If you will combine that treatment with good microneedling RF devices superficially such as the Morpheus8 and the Sylfirm one can’t expect some decent tightening nonsurgically. Another unique option to tighten the skin on the chest is to liposuction some of the abdomen and or flanks and take a fat to a fat transfer into the muscle in the upper half of the chest. This not only makes the chest larger, but also draws the skin up. More than anything you need to go to an experience practitioner that has many cases of using all of these techniques and modalities.

Answer: Morpheus8 sessions can help tighten loose skin for a more defined look Morpheus 8 is a non-invasive skin and soft tissue tightening treatment that is consistently amazing in our patients. We use the Morpheus to exact fractional induced RF into the skin or tissue in order to tighten collagen and stimulate contraction of the tissue. For acne scars, it is quite useful to build collagen in patients who have atrophic scars but is not very productive for ice-pick scars which require TCA Cross. For tissue tightening, Morpheus is ideal for the face and neck and we often combine it with CO2 laser or Ultherapy to further enhance results. Chemical peels and skin resurfacing should be done at least 5 to 7 days after, but can be performed earlier, depending on treatment severity. Avoid exfoliating skin treatments before Morpheus and expect a period of 2-4 weeks for skin contraction to set in. Best, Dr. Karamanoukian Realself100 Surgeon

Answer: Vaser Liposuction and Renuvion "Thank you for your detailed background and pictures. Given your weight loss, muscle gain, and relatively low body fat, my suggestion aligns with your initial consultation. A combination of Vaser Liposuction and Renuvion could be ideal for addressing your loose skin without requiring a full tuck. This minimally invasive procedure aims to tighten the skin and enhance the definition of your muscles. Always consult with a cosmetic surgeon to ensure the best possible results. "
