Is this swelling and bruising on my nose after dermal fillers normal? 5 days post op? (photos)

Question

I had dermal fillers injected on Thursday on the bridge of my nose and a bit on the tip to cover up an old indented scar. It is now Sunday and the swelling is still there. - Spotted redness on the right side of my nose. - The tip of my nose is swollen and sore, always pink. - Small dark spot on tip of nose - Left nose has hard bump that shouldnt be there. Feels as though the liquid has migrated or leaked to the left? Is this normal? Should I be worried? What can I do to reduce the swelling?

Based on your photos, I would not think that the isolated redness of the tip of your nose is normal five days after a temporary gel filler treatment. Since this may require antibiotics, you would be well served by communicating with your doctor so you can see what might be best for you moving forward. I hope this helps. Sincerely, Dr. Joseph

I would go to your doctor ASAP, as this may be early signs of tissue ischemia and skin necrosis.
Or, you should receive an urgent consult with some experienced in both surgical and non-surgical rhinoplasty (e.g., a board-certified Facial Plastic Surgeon) so that you receive an expert opinion.
