Answer: Arm lipo results Dear Calvadoll19, I understand your concern. However, without a proper assessment, it would be difficult to determine what went wrong. It is best that you visit your plastic surgeon for further assessment or ask for a second opinion. Only after a thorough examination, you can get proper recommendations and advice. Answer: Liposuction A fat transfer can be done to help fill in the dent. You still have excess fat in your arm which could be removed to fix the dent, or you can take from another place. The "lines" in your second photo appear to be stretch marks and not related to liposuction. That area is usually not treated in most ladies. Micro-needling can be helpful with those lines.

Answer: Poor Liposuction results Delivering consistent quality liposuction results is much more difficult than most people believe. Unfortunately most plastic surgeons aren’t really that good at liposuction though most of them claim they do the procedure well. The truth is doing liposuction well or the ability to deliver consistent high quality results with consistent high patient satisfaction is much more difficult than both patients and surgeons believe. The number of plastic surgeons who are truly excellent at liposuction is relatively small and in order to minimize negative outcomes patients should be extremely selective when choosing providers. The best way to do this is to have multiple in person consultations. During each consultation ask each provider to open up your portfolio and show you their entire collection of before and after pictures. being shown a handful of preselected sample pictures which mostly represents The best results of a providers career is insufficient to get a clear understanding of what the average results look like or how many of these procedures they have actually performed. Extremity liposuction is technically more difficult than treating the abdomen or the torso. Liposuction results are permanent and irreversible. Once the fat has been removed it is very difficult to improve on the outcome. The more aggressive the primary procedure was the more difficult it becomes to improve on the outcome. If the problem is that the surgeon left fat in certain areas and that can easily be corrected. If too much fat was removed then correcting the outcome becomes virtually impossible. Another way to describe the difficulty of doing revisions would be this. It’s hard enough to take an even normal fat distribution, reduce the thickness of fat and leave it even. Taking an uneven fat distribution and making it even is simply very very difficult. The best surgeons for doing revision surgery are most likely going to be The same surgeons who do the best primary liposuction. Look at plastic surgeons in your area and see who has the most and the most impressive Liposuction before and after pictures. look specifically for plastic surgeons who have results of arm liposuction posted on their website. There are a few corporate national clinics that offer liposuction. there are advantages and disadvantages to going to a corporate specialty clinic. Those clinics can be less intimate and more driven by financial motives but sometimes also have plastic surgeons quit far more experience since they specialize more exclusively and doing on the Liposuction. I recommend scheduling multiple in person consultations. During each consultation ask each provider to show their entire collection of before and after pictures of arm liposuction results. An experienced provider should have no difficulty showing you at least 50 set a before and after pictures of commonly performed procedures. Arms are not as common as abdomens but I am Liposuction is by no means an unusual or rare procedure. I would say at a minimum a competent plastic surgeon should have no difficulty showing you at least 10-20 set a before and after pictures of arm liposuction results at an absolute minimum. Look very carefully for any contour irregularities on all areas treated. Ask providers to show you examples of previous patients who have very similar arm characteristics to your own in regards to the amount of fat, skin laxity etc. Ideally the sufficiently experience provider will literally have hundreds of before and after pictures including arm liposuction results. They should be able to show you lots of examples of patience with a Arms look very similar to the Waze yours look now or looked before you had your first procedure and show you consistent quality results. Ask providers to show you examples of excellent results, average results and results that did not turn out as well as they had hoped. Providers may be apprehensive to show you anything but their preselected “best of their career” results. You need to be an advocate for yourself and push providers and tell them that you need to see a sufficient number of before and after pictures to confirm they have the skill and experience necessary before committing to having surgery. Start by scheduling at least five in person consultations and consider scheduling many more if needed. The number of plastic surgeons who can do this type of work with consistent quality results without contour irregularities is smaller than people think. Being a board-certified plastic surgeon with overall good reputation and years of experience is not sufficient to confirm someone has mastered Liposuction. When in doubt slow down and schedule more consultations. Find the right plastic surgeon and everything falls into place. Patients should be more selective than they think they need to be when it comes to Liposuction. Best, Mats Hagstrom MD
