I had minor lipo on my stomach area about 14 months ago. My doctor said it looks perfect but the dark lines really bother me. I'm not sure what options I have to remove or reduce the appears of the lines. I regret getting the lipo at this point and I'm nervous there isn't a way to fix this properly.
Answer: Lines Your photos are not clear enough to tell if this is shadowing or actual pigment. For shadowing, fat transfers can be done to add fat back into those lined areas. Go to someone who does a great deal of fat transfers.

Answer: Dark lines after lipo Dear baygirl123, I understand your concern. However, without a proper assessment, it would be difficult to determine what went wrong. It is best that you visit your plastic surgeon for further assessment or ask for a second opinion. Only after a thorough examination, you can get proper recommendations and advice. Answer: Dark lines after liposuction To make an assessment on the outcome of an operation we always need to see proper before and after pictures. If you don’t have before and after pictures and ask your surgeon to forward the ones they took. Without seeing the change or what you look like before it’s difficult to make any kind of assessment. you included two pictures. Perhaps those are the before and after. on both pictures your abdomen looks very similar. Do you have a three to find vertical lines on your abdomen at muscle intersections. most likely this was an attempt at high definition liposuction or a technique called etching. What’s this discussed during the consultation? Did the surgeon specifically talk about creating an appearance that made your abdominal muscles look more defined. In this technique aggressive Liposuction is done at the intersection between bordering muscles. typically all the fat it’s removed in those lines and some fat is left in between to try to mimic looking like muscle. Once fat has been aggressively removed with this technique it is almost impossible to reverse it. It’s hard to say for sure without before and after pictures so consider re-posting with quality before and after pictures, follow up with your provider or schedule a proper in person second opinion consultation. For a second opinion consultations patients should ideally come prepared and bringing with them all before and after pictures and a copy of your operative report. These are all available from your surgeons office upon request. Best, Mats Hagstrom MD
